 Terrible lag :( Hi guys, new player here.
I just finished downloading the client and I did the whole
1) patch w/ online.exe
2) reopen w/ psobb.exe shortcut
with admin privileges and stuff, I got the game running so that's not a problem at all... but...
I'm suffering from huge lag! Like really! I spent like an hour trying to fix it but no go..
Where is the server located? Maybe the host is too far from me? I'm in US West.
Does anyone have any tips to help reduce lag maybe?
I really want to try playing this server, it seems like a great server.. but this lag is unbearable. :(
I know it's not my internet since everything else is running fine and smooth.
Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading and replying.

Re: Terrible lag :( Server should still be in Europe last time I checked.
From your command prompt.
ping chokoserver.ath.cx
And post your results.

I tried both while on and off the server..
I'm on it right now again and the lag seems to be a lot less.
It's probably because the host is so far I guess :/

Re: Terrible lag :( It's not chokoserver.ath.cx anymore, ping ragol.edenserv.net, but a few people from the us play and had no problems.

Also if you don't mind paste me a "tracert ragol.edenserv.net" via pm

Note that i'm Raven, your old and almost invisible admin, using Rupikachu just to avoid confusions with the 2-3 Ravens that play on the server.

Re: Terrible lag :( Thanks for your help guys, I've been playing for a few days now and this isn't a problem anymore thankfully.
Maybe my future posts won't be as useless lol. Sorry for the hassle and thanks again!
