Hello everyone. I really want to keep playing PSO. However I keep getting random crashes whenever I play. Sometimes I can play for 5 minutes. Other times I get to play half an hour without crashing. But it always does eventually. The game freezes for a second, then I get a message saying psobb.exe has stopped working. Any thoughts? I have windows 7 x64, and both my Firewall and Antivirus are disabled while playing. |

You downloaded the stuff from the download topic, are using Eden's client, and are not using any kind of skins or modifications? |

I downloaded the stuff from the download section in the home page. Yes I'm using Eden's client. Not a single skin and/or modification. :/ |

No idea what could be happening then. I'm on Win7 x64 with an antivirus and firewall running, and have no problems playing the game at all. It could either be some background process screwing up PSO's memory, network issues, or honestly , I have no clue. Sorry :S |

Is UAC turned off? Or are the crashes random with no popups of any kind? |

Oh true, Aything that pops those UAC lightboxes will crash pso... but that gives a different error, i mean pso shows a messagebox with some error and then it crashes |

Its usually a bunch of funny characters with no freezing though. It just dies. |

Disable DEP Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced tab -> Performance -> Data Execution Prevention |
