Hello!

So I used to play Monster Hunter Tri before the servers got shut down and stumbled across PSO and as much as it is like MH3, it isn't as like it as everyone told me and I find myself sucking totally.

So I require help as I think I may be missing something. I just go in, create a group at the front desk area and start a quest by myself (that being the #1 extermination quest). Then I go to the quest and wow the monsters are hard as heck. Doing like 1/4 my health for damage and I have to hit them like 9 times each and they gang up. I attack them slowly and then they hit me and I fall on the ground and then I get back up and attack them again. I use the enter key to attack, using the 3 move combo. But they still kill a lot and I just respawn and go back to kill them.

Is this what is supposed to happen? Why do I suck so much? Am I missing something? Some sort of dodge? Some sort of armour? Some sort of anything? Am I using the right keys to attack? I noticed the action palette and all but it does the same as the enter key except for the one heavier attack which I did mix in a little bit with my normal attacks.

I suck, so any help will be appreciated.

Try just going down normally at 1st so you have less enemies on you at once. Or try one person mode where enemies are weaker. Grind a bit (feed your mag) find a gun then it may become clear to you. You can also try using magic and traps to control your enemies. There is no dodge button you can only move out of the way baiting them into an attack 1st to gain an advantage.

To change your action pallets open your main menu with home or F12 then go to customize.

How does one play single player mode? And to feed my mag, how do I do that exactly?

Set play mode to one person when you create the room.



F4 select your mag give items. You can give your mag 3 restorative or healing items every 3 mins and 30 seconds while in a room.
