My process of getting her: Walk into Target with sunglasses still on. Speedwalk STRAIGHT to the pony section. Hoist up Twilight in front of a few other people that shoot me a strange stare. Continue speedwalking to register down the center of the store with her secured in my arm like a football. Get strange looks from an overweight elderly Hispanic woman. Give Twilight Sparkle to cashier; strike up casual conversation. "Would you like a bag for this?" "No thanks." Little girl notices her in my hand. "Ponies!" Turn back to her, smile, and inform her that Twilight's my favorite pony. Walk out to car purposefully parked far away with Twilight proudly displayed now on my shoulder.

I've actually had at least 3 people here think I was a girl. (Two of which were before I even discovered ponies.) Not offended, but the "Wait, you're a guy?" reactions were amusing. :3
